The best way to find a home is to consult local newspapers, the Informagiovani office, and the university notice boards. Students can also apply to the official channels such as ER.GO, which offers a special service to meet the demand and offer of housing via Internet, or Ser.In.Ar, which supplies lodging solutions at very competitive costs. But probably the best way is still by word of mouth, because the best piece of advise always comes from other students. That is why, we suggest you to visit the university structures and to enter into contact with long experienced students.
The best period to find home is the summer: in this period, the end of high school studies on the one hand and the end of the academic studies on the other reshuffle the housing solutions available for students. Finding and paying for an accommodation during the summer may not seem economically advantageous, but the disadvantage is largely compensated by the wider range of solutions in terms of cost, location, typology and room-mates. Local newspapers can provide for useful information while at the university premises you can find several notices and ads affixed to the boards. But don't forget to ask to friends and other students! This has always been the best way to find home.
ER.GO - the Regional Authority for the Right to Higher Education manages a housing service for visiting students via Internet (
http://www.er-go.it/). To apply to its service, you just need to register to the website. Registered users can then make their inquiry or enter a housing offer, besides exploring all available solutions.
